Personal Color Analysis is based on the observation that colors are energized by those that share the same properties, and confused by those that differ. This is as factual as music theory. When musical tones harmonize, the sound is pleasing, uplifting, energizing, and beautiful. When tones clash, however, the discord can be almost unbearable.

Though we avoid musical dissonance, we are constantly bombarded by colorful dissonance. You wouldn't purposely listen to multiple songs at the same time, and yet a visual version of that same effect is happening in millions of businesses, schools, and cities across the country at this very moment. There is a reason high-end stores keep their colors under control.
