Some people have their colors analyzed because they are lured by promises of looking ten years younger and ten pounds lighter. Those promises are very often fulfilled by wearing colors that harmonize with your natural coloring and energy, but I think there are far more profound reasons for everyone to have a personal color analysis.
PEOPLE WILL BE LISTENING TO WHAT YOU'RE SAYING, NOT DISTRACTED BY WHAT YOU'RE WEARING.
Does that mean your clothes will go unnoticed if they're the "right" colors? No. But it means your clothing will serve to extend you rather than belittle or compete with you. When your clothing, makeup, and hair color just look like they belong - like a natural extension of your true self - it is then that your presentation comes into full focus. Perhaps you believe you're immune to visual distraction, noise, clutter. That's fine; and surely it serves you well. What you need to know is that most people in the world are not like you. The people who need your services or want to hear what you're saying - the people with whom you desire clear communication on a daily basis - many of them are not immune. They may not think you're wearing the "wrong" color - they might not even realize they're distracted - but anything that puts an obstacle between you and the delivery of your message ought to be avoided. Don't you think?
GETTING DRESSED GETS EASY.
Clutter. Overwhelm. Decision fatigue.
A closet full of clothes and nothing to wear.
Multiple ties, coats, shoes, belts, handbags in different color families to coordinate with your multiple dresses, suits, outfits in other color families.
These are very real issues that steal our joy, our time, and our sense of beauty.
Solutions come in the form of minimalism, uniforms, KonMari capsule wardrobes - paring down. But how do you keep what serves you when you don't know what's holding you back? You don't have the tools or the knowledge to simplify intentionally and intelligently.
Until now. This is the shortcut to feeling pretty and looking put-together every day.
YOU'LL NO LONGER BE INTIMIDATED BY NARROW PORTRAYALS OF HOMOGENEOUS BEAUTY.
Hollywood. The beauty industry. The fashion industry. All share a narrow definition of beauty.
Many of us have come to agree with that definition, as if 7 Mile Beach was the only beautiful beach on the planet - to say nothing of the mountains, canyons, deserts, cities... Why are we so able to see the varied beauty of the earth while at the same time believing the lie that human beauty comes in a select few shapes, sizes, and colors. I believe that beauty is part of our humanity. All people are beautiful. Think you're an exception? I would be honored to show you otherwise.
YOUR BEAUTY IS WORTHWHILE.
I believe in the cultivation of beauty. It takes discernment to love and appreciate it while keeping a greater perspective. If all truth is God's truth, then all beauty belongs to him as well. Some say the pursuit of ones own beauty is vain. I say pay attention to beauty. Enjoy it. Just don't try to make it satisfy beyond it's gentle, delightful intent.
I want you to dress and communicate in a style that is genuine for you. You don't look like everyone else. Why should you dress like everyone else?
